Who is responsible?
Tarnly is the trading name of Will Nham, based in Sheffield, UK. For questions about your information, email hello@tarnly.com.
When you visit this website
This website does not use advertising, analytics, embedded calendars or tracking cookies. Fonts are served with the website. The hosting provider, Cloudflare, may process technical information such as IP addresses, request details and security logs to deliver and protect the website.
When you request a cut-off check
The form asks for your shop link, email address and whether you post from the UK or US. It prepares an email on your device. Filling in the form does not send your details to me; you choose whether to send the email from your own email app. Please do not include customer records, passwords or other sensitive information.
When you email me, I use your details to answer the request, review your shop’s publicly available information and send the check back to you. I do not sell your information.
When you book a call
The booking button opens Google Calendar. Information you enter there is handled by Google and made available to me to arrange the call. Google’s own privacy notice applies to that service. I use booking information to contact you, prepare for our conversation and manage the appointment.
Why I use your information
I use enquiry and booking information to respond to your request, discuss work and take steps you ask for before entering into an agreement. For general enquiries, my legitimate interest is answering people who contact my business. If you become a client, the agreement will set out how customer information is handled for the work.
Optional reminders
The reminder box is optional and unticked by default. If you tick it and send the email, you are asking for one reminder before the next season’s cut-offs. I use your email address for that reminder on the basis of your consent. You can withdraw that request at any time by emailing me. A check request on its own does not sign you up for marketing.
Who handles the details?
Information needed to run enquiries and appointments is handled through my email and calendar providers. Cloudflare hosts the website. These providers may process information outside the UK under their applicable data protection arrangements. I share information only as needed to provide the requested service or meet a legal obligation.
How long is it kept?
I keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request and any agreed follow-up. I keep client records where needed to perform the agreement or meet applicable record-keeping obligations. A reminder request is kept until the reminder is sent or you withdraw it. You can ask me about the information I hold or request deletion at any time.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see your personal information, correct it, or request deletion. Depending on the circumstances, you may also have rights to restrict or object to its use, or receive it in a portable format. Contact hello@tarnly.com to make a request or raise a concern.
You can also complain to the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office.
